Purple petals open towards the sun;
the delicateness of their
silken woven threads
are still wet with dew
from dawn's still light.
They find their strength is gathering,
in the opening of each
thin veil
that dares to reveal
its beauty
to the light of day,
and allow that light to shine
through the fiber of each petal,
that appears translucent
and seen in the perfect
form that it holds
—which is only
its expression of light and beauty
dressed in the form of its purpleness.
